How long did it take you to get your hair like that?

I started bleaching my hair in May 2010 and I didn’t get it to the colour I wanted until January of 2011.

What’s your original hair colour?

This is my original hair colour. I used to bleach my bangs before I did the rest of it. 

How many times have you bleached it?

Roughly around 5 or 6 times and I’ve done it all professionally.. because I’m afraid of ruining my own hair.

How is your hair not completely dead/fried/destroyed?

I ask myself this question every day! Apparently I have very strong hair that was able to stay alive after all these bleachings. I try to wash my hair every other day (washing it every day dries the hair out of it’s natural oils and it will actually seem greasier because it tries to make up for the oils you’re eliminating) and use moisturizing treatments, such as hot oil or just leaving it to sit in conditioner as often as I can.

How do you get your hair so white looking?

If you’re trying to get white blonde, you need a toner (this is why seeing a professional is better!) which will remove the orange and yellowy. Also, pick up blueing shampoo. Sometimes they say it’s for blondes.. but they might even say it’s for old peoples’ hair- either way.. it works as a toner and makes it more white looking!

How do you get your hair all wavy?

I crimp my hair! Just youtube how to crimp hair and you’ll see how simple it is! Be careful though.. I have my emover/scene kid hair/hipster hair that has lots of layers.. I’ve seen it look terrible on some people!

How exactly do you style your hair?

1. I put moroccan oil hair treatment in my hair when it’s wet.
2. I wrap my hair in a towel and let it sit and steam in there while i do my makeup so it soaks up all the moisture.
3. I blowdry my hair.
4. I section the layers and crimp my hair with a straightener.. but straighten my bangs.
5. I section the layers again and tease my hair.. a ton.. with lots and lots of hairspray.

Where do you shop?
Almost everything I own is from H&M. They are by far my favourite store. I do own quite a lot from Forever 21 too though. Everything basic like skinny jeans or plain shirts, I just get them at cheap places like Urban Planet or Urban Behaviour.

I have just a basic Canon Rebel XS with the standard 18 - 55mm lens it came with. I do not claim to be a photographer whatsoever.. I just like good quality photos.

I get nearly every single picture off of WeHeartIt. I find they have the most gorgeous photos. I always credit back to the weheartit page I found it on.. and sometimes on that page it doesn’t show the original source of the photo. Do you ever post any of your art?
I actually never do! I post so many artists on my blog that I feel like the art I do is mediocre. I haven’t been drawing as much as in the last couple of years. :[

Do you have people who you wish could still be in your life but arn`t anymore?
No, I do not. I’m lucky to say that no one in my life has even died. I think if I did know anyone who did, my answer would be very different. The people that are in my life are the ones that I want there. I don’t waste my time on people who upset me or bother me. If people that were in my past are not in my future, there is always a reason why. 

How would you feel about having somebody who will travel the world with you playing music and getting cultured?
This sounds perfect! This is exactly what I would love to do one day. You’ll play the music and be the soundtrack to my journey of the world. That’s beautiful. How about Europe, please?

What was the first concert you went to and what was the experience of it like?
My first concert was technically Warped Tour 2008. It was the year that The Academy Is…, Cobra Starship and Say Anything were there. But, my first real full blown concert experience was The Academy Is… (they’re my favourite band) and We the Kings, i think. It was so magical and it was right then and there that I realized that my life was nothing compared to the beauty I was experiencing.

What was your favorite movie to watch as a kid?
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, definitely! I was a huge Roald Dahl fan from a young age.

If you could listen to only one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This is honestly such a hard question! :(
It’s definitely a tie between The Academy Is… Almost Here and Jack’s Mannequin Everything In Transit.

What are you thinking right now?
I am writing this on Saturday, October 22nd 2011 at 1:30am. I just finished writing.. so I’m overall content with that. I’ve been quite uninspired lately so i’m quite happy that things are starting to flow out of me again. I’m stressing and worrying about nothing.. as usual- but i’m excited for halloween.. and my costume! I’m also thinking about travelling and cliche answer.. but yeah, how much I adore my boyfriend. :3

Thoughts on love?
I believe that love is when you cannot find any words to describe your feelings. It’s when you feel completely speechless and tongue-tied because it’s simple- nothing else matters. words do not matter. stress and worries do not matter.. nothing matters because you already have what matters. you’re in a protective bubble of tingly feelings.. with no words. that’s love.

Thoughts on life?
I’m a writer. Every time I write.. I write about life and the wonders or horrors in it. As cliche and overused as it is.. life is ultimately what you make it. Life has no specific purpose.. it’s truly what you want it to be. Life can be about art.. or travelling or something simple, like sunny days. It’s completely up to you. If you choose to stay close-minded and believe that life has no purpose.. then that is exactly how life will appear to you. 

Thoughts on regret?
Never regret anything.. ever. At one point in your life making the decision that you now regret was something you wanted. It was something that you were compelled to do to make you happy- and that is something you should never regret. You should never regret wanting to feel happy.. despite how it turned out in the end. We always learn something from every decision we make.
